Chapter 35 - Angry

This helicopter was slower than the first one. It had to move a lot more weight. I followed the coast line for as long as I could that day. I was very reliant on day light as I couldn't miss the point I marked on the coast for returning to Washington D.C.

After a restless night I jumped back into the chopper and continued along the coast. I approached Chesapeake Bay again, and turned to head due west. It didn't take long and I was over the river going through the city. I followed it north to return to the airport. I could see our craft.

I brought the chopper in for a landing near the craft, but there was no one in sight. They must have been out on an exploratory mission. I'm not sure where they were, but I had to get them back as soon as possible.

Climbing into the craft I grabbed the radio and started calling for one of them to pick up. After trying for about a minute the captain finally picked up. He demanded to know who I was, and where I was contacting him from. After a quick explanation he told me not to move and that they would return. They were going to be very angry.
