The machine still had enough power for 2 more attempts.This time we wouldn't need the roadway, since Terra Duorum and Earth should be orbiting and rotating in sync with each other. We would just stand in the center of the sphere and run the sequential automated count down.
The captains successful transport had given us a lot of hope, but we were still worried because this time we would be changing dimensions. Although the math said it should be easier, we were still very concerned.
We once again loaded the craft into the sphere and climbed on board. Although it wasn't in very good shape, it would still protect us if we ended up in outer space.
The count down had commenced. We were all strapped in. I was back in the cargo bay where this all started.
There was a bright flash as the spheres discharged their energy, I saw an intense change of colour then nothing. We weren't moving, nothing, just our craft sitting still.
